My wife was first referred to RANDY for lower back pain and neck pain that she had had for about 6 months. She has responded to Randy’s treatment well and her pain has decreased pretty quickly in both her neck and back with almost full range of motion. She is pleased with her outcome and feels Randy’s treatment has helped to give her her life back. She was shocked how much he helped her and how she was able to move so much better after just a few days. I then had to have my shoulder operated on for a rotator cuff repair and labrum repair. I decided to let Randy work with me on my shoulder and I am really pleased with his manor and caring approach. On my last follow up visit with my surgeon, I was told that I am way ahead of what my doctor expected on my recovery. At 6 weeks my doctor said I was as far along as most would be at 16 weeks and released me from the rest of my follow up visits with him. He then instructed me to continue with Randy until I meet all of my PT goals and he releases me from his care – which at this rate won’t be long !!!

This rehab clinic is the best – wonderful, caring staff, customized therapy, and a pleasant place to receive treatment! When I went to see Randy for the severe back pain I was having, I could hardly walk, sit, or stand more than 5-10 min at a time which was taking a toll on my life, both at home and work. I had been to another rehab before seeing Randy where the care was poor and I was just a number to them. I went to that clinic for 6 weeks with very little results. I was doubtful Excel would be any different after having that bad experience with the other clinic, but my doctor highly recommended Randy and told me I was in for a surprise. Randy took his time with evaluating me and did all sorts of testing the other place didn’t, and then explained everything to me in detail as he went, to make sure I understood what was going on and how we were going to approach my pain. Well, I left there after my first visit with half the pain I was having, and was able to move better. Within 4 weeks my back pain was totally gone, and my life was back to normal. The stretches Randy gave me are working very well and I’m feeling better than I ever have!!! I had a wonderful experience with Excel Spine and Sports and they are truly EXCELLENT in the care they give. While I was in their the the other patients would talk about how well they are doing and how pleased they were. I would highly recommend Excel Spine and Sports to anyone who needs physical therapy and has had a bad experience at other clinics. They make a difference quickly and truly care!!!! Reason: Randy is a phenomenal physical therapist! I have been to 3 other PT's in the Rockwall/ Rowlett area, and none of them could do in the 4 months I had at each facility the past 2 years, that he did in just 3 weeks. I had just about given up and opted in for back surgery, but a new neuro surgeon I went to highly recommended Randy, telling me he does things differently at his facility and has had great outcomes with chronic low back pain. I have been so debilitated the past 3 years not able to walk more than 5-10 min without severe pain or even sit long enough to drive to the store or work at my computer. The low back pain I had been experiencing was surprisingly drastically reduced the first week and now that I have been there a month, I am now able to stand, walk, and sit around 1-2 hours allowing me to return to my life before low back pain. I can now work and go to the store and enjoy ding things with my grand kids again. I am still continuing to improve with physical therapy and plan on continuing with Randy at Excel Spine and Sports Rehab. They gave me back my life and made me feel like I mattered and was part of their family. I heard from many patients there I spoke with how they loved coming to Excel Spine and Sports and how they are doing so much better. Randy has helped my knees tremendously! After playing football for years in the NFL and taking all those hits, I developed arthritis and started losing my range of motion and stability. I’ve been a patient under Randy in the Rowlett location twice. When I was 14 I tore my ACL in my kne and stretched another ligament. My biggest concern was not making freshman soccer tryouts with being given 6 months of PT. Randy made it his number one priority to get me out for my tryouts. I was sent once again at 16 for a dislocated hip that stretched all my ligaments. I was rehabilitated and released in 3 months for tryouts again. It became a routine when I walked in to start my workout and I never felt as though I wasn’t important. If I could give this place over a 5 star I would. Couldn’t thank them more for the work they did.
Nobody better then Randy and Steve. Saw them for my 2nd shoulder surgery and they had me back to work sooner then expected after the 1st shoulder repair. Wouldn’t go anywhere else! Reason: After a four year wait for workman's compensation to approve knee replacement, my husband was very weak in his left leg and his hip was beginning to bother him because his gait was off. After surgery, Randy and his team spent almost one year of therapy to get him back on his feet, walking without a walker and feeling much better than he has felt in a long time. The team is so very patient with him and because he has dementia, they have been so good about helping him feel safe and cared for. He says he will never use anyone else!

I was destined for surgery after multiple drs opinions due to atrophy to my right arm from a spinal issue. My biggest concern was not making freshman soccer tryouts with being given 6 months of PT. Randy made it his number one priority to get me out for my tryouts. I was sent once again at 16 for a dislocated hip that stretched all my ligaments. I was rehabilitated and released in 3 months for tryouts again. It became a routine when I walked in to start my workout and I never felt as though I wasn’t important. If I could give this place over a 5 star I would. Couldn’t thank them more for the work they did.
Nobody better then Randy and Steve. Saw them for my 2nd shoulder surgery and they had me back to work sooner then expected after the 1st shoulder repair. Wouldn’t go anywhere else! I tell my co-workers to go see Randy when they get hurt if they want to get back to work sooner safely and confidently. Thanks Randy

I can't say enough good things about Excel Spine and Sports Rehab. I've been coming here for about 3 months following a back surgery and feel better than I have in a long time. After a four year wait for workman's compensation to approve knee replacement, my husband was very weak in his left leg and his hip was beginning to bother him because his gait was off. After surgery, Randy and his team spent almost one year of therapy to get him back on his feet, walking without a walker and feeling much better than he has felt in a long time. The team is so very patient with him and because he has dementia, they have been so good about helping him feel safe and cared for. He says he will never use anyone else!

The best PT I’ve ever known. Randy is extremely knowledgeable and more importantly really care about people and family. I was destined for surgery after multiple drs opinions due to atrophy to my right arm from a spinal issue. I was able to stop medication in weeks and the problem was resolved through the therapy and exercises they prescribed in under 2 months. Excel works – it really does!

Each and every person there really cares about the person who is being treated. Everyone listens and forms a plan accordingly.
